Welcome to Mary Tavy and Brentor Community School's website.

We would like to welcome you to our school.

Mary Tavy and Brentor Community Primary School is a small school that values standards and achievement. We are a happy, friendly school situated on the edge of Dartmoor in the beautiful area of West Devon. The school was established in 1836 in the village of Mary Tavy. We now have children who attend our school who live in Brentor, Tavistock, Whitchurch, Bere Alston, Peter Tavy, Okehampton and other local villages and hamlets.

We currently have 71 children on roll. We have 3 classes at the moment which ensures our children are taught in small groups.

Class 1- Reception,Year 1 and Year 2

Class 2- Years 3 and 4

Class 3- Years 5 and 6

We are extremely proud of our achievements. As our website demonstrates, the children at Mary Tavy and Brentor Community Primary School are supported in their learning by dedicated staff, governors and parents.

Our PTA and Friends are very active and play a large part in the life of our School. They organise and run a variety of fundraising and social events. Events have included the Summer Fayre, children's Christmas Market, Quiz Night, Bingo, Halloween Party, and Easter trail and Activities Day. The PTA and Friends also support the School by subsidising some educational events, sports kit and transport costs for educational visits.

We are currently seeking a new Chair.
