Year 6 joined other Year 6 children from the Tavistock area at Okehampton Camp for the annual Junior Life Skills event organised by West Devon Borough Council. The children were faced with nine different scenarios that would teach them about safety. They had to make decisions as to how they would cope with a potentially dangerous situation. Scenarios included dealing with explosive devices on Dartmoor, first aid, fire safety, internet safety and road safety. The children felt that they had learnt a great deal about looking after themselves.
