7 Oct 2009 - Harvest Festival

We held our Harvest Festival at the local Church in Mary Tavy. The children sang a selection of Harvest songs. There were readings and poems written by the children themselves. Classes 1 and 3 also displayed their Harvest paintings. Parents received a programme which also contained pictures of Harvest by some of our children. At the beginning of the Service, the children brought in produce which was then sold to raise money for Seeds for Africa. We were able to raise £109.27 as a result of generous donations and this money will be used by the charity to buy seeds, tools and technical advice for communities in Africa to enable them to become self-sufficient. Thank you to everyone who supported us.

Here are children from Class 3 painting their Harvest pictures which were inspired by looking at Harvest paintings by Vincent Van Gogh.
