Well Done

Congratulations go to Haze who was a joint winner of a recycling competition organised by the West Devon Council. The children had to design a logo to encourage people to ' Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.' Haze's design was selected together with an entry from another school. The school has won £100 as a result of his efforts and the winning designs will be printed on every recycling vehicle in West Devon. Well done! Back to top

Junk Band

As you are aware, the Junk Band played in Bedford Square last Saturday. £65 was raised by the children and Miss Dawkins. What a superb effort for their first public appearance. They wore their new T-shirts. Photographs are on show outside Class 2 and we hope to put some on the website as soon as possible. Thank you to all the children who took part, thier parents who supported them and to Miss Dawkins and her family who helped with the printing of the shirts. Back to top

School Lunch

Due to a problem with a delivery, the Kitchen had to serve up an alternative today. Next week on Monday, Cottage Pie will be on the menu and on Thursday there will be sausages. Apologies for any inconvenience. We are really pleased with the number of children who are having a School lunch. 60% - 75% of the children have a cooked lunch each day. Thank you to the Kitchen Staff who work so hard. Back to top

We will be writing to you nearer the time but we would like to give you the dates for our Parent Interviews later this term.

Monday 11th February        1.00-5.30pm    Class 3

Tuesday 12th February       1.00-5.30pm    Class 2

Thursday 14th February      1.00-5.30pm    Class 1C

Thursday 14th February      3.30-5.30pm    Year 1 parents from Class 1M only. Mrs Macgougan meets with Reception

                                                                     parents in the summer term.

Christine Williams is kindly organising the School Link Book scheme and an order booklet is attached. The School receives a commission in books on all sales. Please send in any orders and payment by Friday 1st February. Many thanks for your support.

Holiday Dates

You will have received our term and holiday dates in the last Newsletter. It is rather confusing this year as Devon schools have an Easter weekend (Friday 21st - Monday 24th March inclusive) and then return to school. We then break up in April for our Spring holiday two weeks later. Please  note that our dates may be different from another authority and other Tavistock schools. Back to top
